Administrators can now allow members to add videos that can be played within their member directory profile. Members must first upload their video to YouTube or Vimeo and then use a link from one of those services to embed their video.
To add this feature to the Member Manage template:
- Go to Customization > Member Manage
- Scroll down to the section where you want to allow members to add in a video
- Click “+ Add Box”
- Change the “Box type” to “Manage Profile Videos”
- You may add in a “Box title” and/or “Description”
- Click “OK”
- You may drag the video box to a different placement
- Click “Save Template”
If you would like new members to add videos to their profile when they join, you can also add the box to the “Member Sign-Up” template in Customization. Adding it to the “Admin Profile” template will allow admins to edit this field for members.
This is similar to what your members will see when they log into their account to add their video(s):
Now add this feature to the Member Directory:
- Go to Customization > Directory Profile
- Scroll down to the section where you want to add in the videos
- Click “+ Add Box”
- Change the “Box type” to “Profile videos”
- Click “OK”
- You may drag the video box to a different placement if you want to give it more prominence within the member profile
- Click “Save Template”
