Integrating Membership Features on Your WordPress, Squarespace, Weebly or HTML5 Website

Posted on Sep 10, 2019 by Karen KuahJan 16, 2020

When looking for membership management software we know that it is not just the Admin features that are important but also how the software integrates with your website. The below video will walk you through how the MembershipWorks features will look on your website and also show you how members can log in to edit their accounts or make a payment.

Integration Facts at a Glance

Website Integration

We integrate with the following CMS platforms

  • WordPress
  • SquareSpace
  • Weebly
  • HTML5

You don’t need to be a developer to integrate MembershipWorks features on your website. We will supply you with shortcodes (WordPress) or HTML5 snippets (SquareSpace, Weebly, HTML5) that you can copy and paste onto your website pages. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of a shortcode or HTML5 snippet before, all you’ll need to do is copy and paste.

Don’t have the time to setup your account on your own? You can work with the developer of your choice or get quotes through our Developer Directory on getting your account setup for you.

Website visitors will never leave your website. They can join, manage their account, make a renewal payment, donate, register for events and more all on your website pages. We integrate with Stripe, PayPal Pro and Authorize.net payment processors for online membership payments, event payments and donations.

Members will be able to manage their accounts on your website including

  • Requesting a password
  • Updating contact information
  • Creating and updating their directory profile
  • Selecting privacy settings
  • Making renewal payments
  • Registering for events
  • Seeing past membership, event, donation and cart payments
  • Making donations
  • Completing surveys
  • Paying Invoices

You customize the join form including

  • Custom fields and questions
  • Membership levels
  • Membership billing options
  • Information about membership levels on the join page

Events Features

We offer 3 different calendar views so you can pick the one that best fits your needs. You can view all three options on our WordPress, SquareSpace or Weebly demo website.

You can offer member only and guest event tickets. You can collect name, contact and other information for each registrant, even when one person is purchasing multiple tickets.

Event categories will let website visitors easily find the events that they are most interested in. Website visitors will also be able to subscribe to your events so they can see them listed on their calendars.

Website visitors and members can view you calendar and purchase event tickets without leaving your website. You can take payment by credit card when a website visitor registers for an event or allow them to register now and pay later.

Forms Carts Donations

You can take donations from website visitors on your website. You can offer set price or flexible donations. Additionally you can ask questions specific to donations. Receipts will automatically be emailed out when a donation is made.

You can sell items, for example hats and t-shirts, on your website. Items can be made available to all website visitors or members only. Receipts for purchase will automatically be emailed when a website visitor makes a purchase.

The forms can also be utilized to create the following functionality on your website

  • Contact page
  • Simple survey
  • Board and other votes
  • Sell sponsorships
  • Committee signup

Member Only Content

You can utilize MembershipWorks to hide content from nonmembers on your web pages. Here are some of the ways to utilize this feature

  • Create a member only directory
  • Create a member only event calendar
  • Make some categories on your event calendar member only
  • Hide content on pages or posts from non-menbers
  • Hide part of the content on a page from non-mebers
  • Restrict content to certain membership levels or groups
